Held in beautiful Paso Robles, this fair brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate agriculture, entertainment, and the competitions of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters and 4-H clubs. The California Mid-State Fair is renowned for its emphasis on agriculture. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the diverse world of farming, livestock, and horticulture. The fair also hosts various competitions, such as livestock shows and agricultural product displays, where FFA ,4-H, and community members showcase their hard work and dedication.
At the California Mid-State Fair, the San Luis Obispo FFA chapter consistently impresses with their achievements. This year the chapter had people in every livestock group place well. Mia Jess and her market goat placed first in their class and Mia Jess was rewarded champion FFA Advanced Showman. Max Reichmuth also placed first in his class with his market goat. Maddie King and her lamb placed high and took home Reserve Champion FFA Crossbred market lamb. Other market class placements include Erin Garnsey (2nd), Finley White (2nd), Eli Berry (3rd), and Eliana Feuerstein (4th). Finley White was awarded Champion Novice Sheep showman for the FFA novice show.
